Movimento V - UNBOX - 2019

We wake up and go to sleep, live and move, raise our young and bury our deceased in boxes. Our rooms and buildings, beds and chairs and tables, modes of transport and civic boundaries, all arise from boxes. From little boxes, boards and bricks, we make more boxes, from furniture to buildings to cities and nations.
How does the logic of the box, omnipresent in contemporary life, affect our bodies and movement, our perceptions and projections of reality and possibility? What exists only because boxes exist? And what exists beyond the box, without the box, outside the box? Do boxes mold our comparatively frail and flexible, fluid and free human anatomy, personality and creativity, as we in turn build more and more of them?
